The greatest of all Dalun’s peaks, the Dungardt Mountains stretch as far north as Rokourd and reach as far south as Drasguard. There is a dwarven legend that claims the Dungardt Mountains sprawl endlessly to the east.
The Dungardt Mountains are home to numerous breed of monsters, but that was not always so. During the height of the dwarven Kingdom war bands of mighty dwarven heroes patrolled the highest slopes and the deepest caverns. Some of these war bands were so large and so powerful that they even did battle with dragons and wyverns. These days the glory of the dwarves is diminished and there is little left of the old ways. Travelers passing through the Dungardt Mountains may find dwarf-built fortresses and settlements that have fallen mostly to ruin.
At the southern end of the Dungardt Mountain range is the magical city of Trundor a place ruled not by man, elf or dwarf, but a truly autonomous settlement. It is warded with powerful magic and protected by the city’s mysterious Keepers.
