The frozen roof of the world. Rokourd is a realm flanked by mountains, divided by ice and snow. In the west the Kulgarr Mountains stretch down from the north extending almost to the Wild Sea. The eastern edge of Rokourd is bordered by a column of jagged peaks known as the Dungardt Mountains. In between these two mighty mountain ranges is the land of Auth Rador or, the Barren Tundra, as many outsiders call it. Imnisvael is a sprawling mountainous realm that sits at the very center of the world, a frigid finger from this land stretches into Dalun through Rokourd where the mountains part ways. Travelling north of Rokourd into the heart of Imnisvael is folly for it is a dangerous realm beset with constant blizzards and is home to some of the land’s most vile and alien of creatures. Most civilized folks live in one of two cities located in the southern reaches of Rokourd. There is Drithkowl, a fortress-turned-city nestled at the base of the Kulgarr Mountains run by a cold and unforgiving gnomish “governor-general” named Tay’do Hallour and Edril to the south. Edril was originally built up from its humble beginnings as a minor trade outpost, but war with their neighbor to the north has toughened the settlement into becoming a major city and center for magic. Each city, Drithkowl and Edril, is home to a large and influential magic community. The Wizards of the Kowl reside in Drithkowl, but owe the city no allegiance whereas the Edril Mage Circle of Edril is closely involved in the governance and defense of the city.
